Sell a Boat, Look for the Next!

I'm back!
— Or at least a good part of me is.
Some of the 'me' in I was certainly lost to an unfortunate work-related tragedy. Other parts, I think, sailed away with our-previously Hanse 531 and her new owners, less than a month ago.
One part, however, I'm happy to have recovered from the lost & found: the unquenchable urge to find the next boat! And to get out there on the seas with her and all the other lovely people in my life!
Not so fast, we need a system
True to my nerdy colours, I put together a sort of CRM for myself to aid me in my quest. I call it YachtPicker.

Basic functionality:
- Add boat from url (when I find something I like on boat24, yachtworld, scanboat etc, I just add it using the url).
- Using AI, structured detection of the boat's features and equipment. Is the interior "Modern Bright Scandinavian", and does it have a pole or bowsprit for a code zero sail, for instance.
- Normalization of currencies and VAT to ~EUR.

Subjective opinions & refit/upgrade plans:
- Is the exterior of the boat inspirational and exciting, or just ... 'meh'.
- AI-assisted basic upgrade list to get apples-to-apples comparisons between the boats.

Performance scoping:
- Integration to https://github.com/jieter/orc-data/ for tens of thousands of real-world ORC certificates for different boat models.
- Manual adjustments to the ORC data, manual polars.

And a Scoring System!
Putting this all together, I made a scoring system to assign subjective weights to different features and then see the boats nicely order themselves according to these.

At the moment I have twenty-three different criteria to produce the final tally.

Apple to apple
Finally, I made a boat-to-boat comparison system with a spline graph visualising how one of the boats is developing into being preferable to the other. (According to my subjective parameters, of course!)

Tomorrow: Copenhagen, Malmö
I have a (very early) flight to Copenhagen tomorrow, and two scheduled viewings. This will be fun!
